What Is Helium 10 Exit Ticket? What's Inside and Who It's For

Helium 10 Exit Ticket is a video course on preparing an e-commerce business for sale, made with the advisory firm Northbound Group. It comes with Helium 10 Diamond, which costs $279 a month billed yearly or $359 monthly (checked 10 October 2026). Platinum doesn’t include it, and Helium 10 publishes no standalone price. Helium 10 pitches it at seven- and eight-figure sellers preparing for a sale.

Where Exit Ticket came from

Helium 10 launched Exit Ticket in November 2022. On episode 395 of its Serious Sellers Podcast (12 November 2022), host Bradley Sutton talked through the course with Scott Deetz and Danielle Nash of Northbound. The episode page calls it “Helium 10’s newest content series”, which “aims to educate advanced and scaling Amazon businesses for a potential exit”.

The partnership has history. The May 2020 release announcing Assembly’s purchase of Helium 10 names Northbound Group as Helium 10’s financial adviser, and on the podcast Sutton introduced Deetz as “one of the people who helped the founders of Helium 10 have an exit, you know, of sorts”. What Exit Ticket covers

Helium 10 publishes no current syllabus, so this section combines three sources: the course’s public page, the launch podcast, and screenshots published on this page in May 2025.

The public page. Helium 10’s Exit Ticket page, whose text was the same in a December 2024 archive copy and on 10 October 2026, promises three outcomes: “Strategically Grow” (set the business up for “what buyers value most”), “Maximize Your Valuation” (know what it’s worth “through deal structuring”) and “Exit With Ease” (minimize post-acquisition risks). It lists three kinds of material:

• Strategic finance building blocks: building and running the business so it’s easier to sell later.
• Case studies: discussions with sellers who have exited and with buyers who have acquired businesses.
• Templates and checklists: downloadable, editable templates and checklists to keep the sale on track.

The launch outline. On the podcast, Deetz described a two-step process: prepare the company first, then execute the deal. The module titles Sutton read out show the level of detail:

• “Know your numbers to know your value”: scenario analysis modeling, accrual accounting and net working capital
• “Your buyer is your ultimate customer”: what drives a strategic valuation
• Taking on a minority investor
• Negotiating a premium transaction, with a glossary of deal terms
• Developing your “GTM package” (module 5.6)

Deetz added that module 4 deals with removing bottlenecks, such as raising capital and hiring a team, and modules 5 and 6 with negotiating. Treat this 2022 outline as a guide to the content rather than a current table of contents.

Inside the course: Module 1

In a screenshot published on this page in May 2025, the course dashboard starts with a workbook download, then Module 1, “Building the Right Foundation for Exit”, with eight lessons: Welcome to Module 1; Setting Your Exit Goal; More than 50% of Your Money Will Come From Exiting; Adopting an Exit Strategy Mindset; Determining the Right Corporate Structure; Establishing Your Corporate Structure; Setup Your Data Room From Day 1; and Takeaway.

Who Exit Ticket is for

Helium 10’s course page asks: “Are you a 7 or 8 figure seller (or are on your way there) committed to positioning your business to achieve a premium exit?” At launch, Deetz said the program was designed “for the serious seller or the advanced seller”, and suggested taking “six months, 12 months” to prepare a company before taking it to market.

How to get Exit Ticket, and what it costs

Exit Ticket comes with Diamond. Helium 10’s pricing table ticks it for Diamond and crosses it out for Platinum, Helium 10 publishes no standalone price, and the only purchase option on the course page is an “Upgrade to Diamond” button.

On yearly billing, the difference between Platinum and Diamond is $180 a month, so Exit Ticket alone is rarely a reason to upgrade.
