Helium 10 Starter Plan: Discontinued — What Replaced It (2026)

Helium 10 no longer sells a Starter plan. We loaded their live pricing page on 2 August 2026 and read the rendered cards: the paid tiers are Platinum, Diamond and Enterprise. Starter is not on it. It is not hidden behind a toggle, a coupon field, or a currency switch — it is gone. If Platinum turns out to be where you land, Helium 10’s current plans are here, but read the rest of this page first, because the honest answer for a lot of people arriving on this search is don’t pay Helium 10 anything yet.

This page used to be a guide to buying Starter. Keeping it that way would have been the easy option and the wrong one. So here is what actually exists now, what it costs, and what to do if the plan you came looking for was the only one you could afford.

What Helium 10 sells in 2026

Two things matter in that table. The first is that $99 and $129 are the same plan — the lower number is what you pay per month when you commit to a year up front. Half the confusion on the internet about Helium 10’s pricing comes from sites quoting one number without saying which billing basis it belongs to. Over twelve months, Platinum yearly costs $1,188 against $1,548 paid monthly, a $360 difference on Helium 10’s own arithmetic.

The second is that the paid floor is now $99 per month. Whatever the entry tier used to be, that is the number a budget-conscious buyer has to clear today. There is no card beneath Platinum on that page — no cheap tier, and no free subscription tier either. What Helium 10 does give away sits outside the plan ladder: the Chrome extension and a set of standalone calculators in their Free Tools section.

Why we are not quoting what Starter used to cost

You will find plenty of pages, including our own until this update, confidently stating a monthly price for Starter. We have removed ours.

The plan’s price moved more than once over its life, none of those figures can be checked against a live page any more, and a price you cannot act on is not information — it is decoration. What we can verify is what Helium 10 charges today, and that is what this page states.

That is our own archived capture of Helium 10’s pricing page from the era when Starter was still sold, kept here as evidence that the tier existed rather than as a price list. Every figure in that screenshot is historical and none of it is current — Platinum and Diamond have both risen since, and the annual saving on the page today is stated as “up to 20%”.

If you wanted the cheapest paid plan, you have four real options

Someone searching for Starter is almost always solving one problem: getting into Helium 10 without a three-figure monthly commitment. That problem still has answers, just not the one you came for.

1. Use the free Chrome extension and pay nothing

This is the option most people in your position should take first, and it is the one the affiliate-funded corners of this industry are least keen to mention. The Helium 10 Chrome extension is free, and Helium 10 states in-product that it has more than 1.2 million users. It overlays sales, revenue and rank estimates on Amazon search results and product pages, which is enough to sanity-check a product idea without any commitment at all. Their standalone calculators — the ones under Free Tools on their site — are free to use as well.

Be clear about what that is not. It is not a subscription, so keyword tracking, listing optimisation, the operational tools and the training courses all stay behind a paid plan. But it lets you find out whether Helium 10’s data suits the way you work before $1,188 leaves your account. 2. Take Platinum, billed yearly, if you are certain

At $99 per month billed yearly, Platinum is the cheapest paid access Helium 10 offers. Their own card describes it as running your brand with “the basics”: product research, keyword research, basic performance tracking, limited profit reporting, plus the FBA, Amazon Ads and TikTok Shop training courses.

That is a reasonable stack for a seller who is genuinely selling. It is a poor purchase for someone still deciding whether to sell at all, because you are committing $1,188 to a hypothesis. Our Platinum plan breakdown goes deeper on what the tier does and does not include.

3. Take Platinum monthly for a short, defined burst

$129 per month billed monthly is the expensive way to buy Platinum per month, and the cheap way to buy it in total if you only need it for a specific job — validating a product line, rebuilding a set of listings, running one round of keyword research before a launch.

Two months at $129 costs $258. A year at $99 costs $1,188. If your need has an end date, monthly billing is the rational choice even though the headline number looks worse. Nobody selling annual subscriptions will tell you this.

4. Buy something cheaper that does the specific job you need

This is the option that deserves more weight than it usually gets. $99 a month buys a broad suite. If you only need one part of that suite, a narrower tool at a third of the price is not a compromise — it is a better fit.

Cheaper alternatives worth a serious look

None of these is “Helium 10 but cheaper”. Each is a different shape of tool, and that is the point.

• SmartScout — the Basic plan is $29 per month, verified against SmartScout’s live pricing page on 1 August 2026. It is built around brand, seller and category intelligence rather than the launch-and-optimise workflow Helium 10 is built for. If your work is finding niches, mapping who owns a category, or wholesale-style research, this is genuinely a better use of $29 than putting the same money towards Platinum would be. If you want keyword tracking and listing tools, it is the wrong purchase.
• Sellerboard — profit analytics, not research. It answers “am I actually making money on this SKU” far better than a research suite does, and it costs considerably less than Platinum. Plenty of small sellers would learn more from accurate margin data than from another keyword tool.
• Jungle Scout — the Catalyst Starter plan is $49 per month, or $29 per month billed annually, verified on 2 August 2026. It is the closest thing left to a budget all-in-one: product research, keyword research and listing tools in one place, with a shallower feature set than the suite you came here for. If price was the whole objection, this is where to look first.
• Keepa — price and rank history, cheaply. For arbitrage, wholesale and anyone whose decisions hinge on how a product has behaved over time, it covers a job Helium 10 does not do as well, at a fraction of the cost.

If you are already a Starter subscriber

You may find your plan simply continues. Software companies commonly let existing subscribers stay on a retired tier until they change something themselves — an upgrade, a downgrade, a lapsed card.

We cannot verify that Helium 10 does this, and we are not going to imply we can. There is nothing on their public pricing page about grandfathering. What we would do in your position: contact Helium 10 support, ask explicitly whether your current plan and price survive renewal, and get the answer in writing before you change anything on the account. Touching your billing settings is exactly the sort of action that can end a legacy plan permanently.

Does a coupon close the gap?

Partly, and less than the internet implies. Helium 10’s pricing page still carries a “Have a promo code?” field, so codes are applied at checkout in the normal way, and we track the working ones on our Helium 10 coupon code page.

But be clear about the arithmetic. A discount off $99 is still a bill in the high double digits. A percentage off does not turn a $99 floor back into a budget entry tier, and any site telling you otherwise is selling you something. If $99 is genuinely out of reach this month, the free Chrome extension or a cheaper rival is your answer, not a coupon.
