SmartScout Pricing (2026): What Each Plan Costs and Unlocks

Tutorial By Updated

Affiliate disclosure: we may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page. How we make money How we check facts

SmartScout costs $29, $99 or $239 a month on yearly billing for Basic, Essentials and Business, or $49, $119 and $299 month to month, according to its pricing page on 10 October 2026. Enterprise is priced after a demo. Which plan is worth it comes down to one question: which tier holds the tool you actually need.

Correction (10 October 2026): SmartScout raised its prices after our 1 August 2026 check. Basic was previously $29 a month, Essentials $97 and Business $187 on monthly billing, or $25, $75 and $158 a month billed yearly, and the plans previously included 2, 3 and 3 users. We also no longer quote a “Save 25%” yearly discount or the 13%, 22% and 15% savings labels, which SmartScout has removed, and we no longer say Enterprise includes the API: SmartScout now lists it as an add-on.

Three details the cards don’t spell out:

  • Yearly is the default view. The page loads on yearly billing, so the first prices you see ($29, $99, $239) are per month on a yearly plan. SmartScout prints no yearly total; twelve times those figures is $348, $1,188 and $2,868 by our arithmetic.
  • No discount percentage is shown. Against monthly billing, yearly billing comes out about 41% lower on Basic, 17% lower on Essentials and 20% lower on Business, by our calculation.
  • Extra users cost $49 each. Every self-serve plan includes one user, and the table gives no billing period for the extra seats.

Prices are in US dollars. SmartScout’s pricing page also mentions “Legacy plans” without defining them, so we can’t tell you whether people who subscribed before the price rise keep their old rate.

What each SmartScout plan unlocks

Every tier includes everything below it. The comparison table is long, so here is what each step up adds, in SmartScout’s own row names.

Basic: product research and supplier price lists

Basic unlocks product-level data: the Products Database with product details, traffic sources, variations and history; the Search Terms Database (the card lists “Keyword Research, Included: 5,000 ASINs/mo”); the Chrome extension, which the card calls the Product Research Extension; the Sales Estimator and FBA calculator; the Price List Scanner; Review Automation; Historical Buy Box and Pricing Intelligence history via SmartScout’s Scope data; and TikTok Shop data.

It does not include the Brands Database, Rank Maker, Search Terms Details or Search Trends, the Sellers Database, or exports.

  • Choose Basic if you source product by product, through online arbitrage or supplier price lists, and want SmartScout’s data behind the extension.
  • Skip Basic if brand research is why you’re looking at SmartScout. It starts on Essentials.

Essentials: brands and keywords

Essentials adds brand-level and keyword-level data: the Brands Database, Brand Dashboards and Brand Sellers; Search Terms Details, Search Trends, the Product Visibility Score and Rank Maker, which the card sums up as “Unlimited Keyword Research & Tracking”; historical search trends and historical Search Query Performance data; the Pricing Intelligence tool under Market and Competitor Research (the Scope pricing-history row of the same name is already on Basic); and search-results data in the extension. The table also ticks Sentiment Analysis from Essentials, although the Business card presents it as a new Business feature.

Limits rise too: 50,000 ASINs in the price-list scanner, 15 Buy Box Map uses and 5 Custom Segments.

  • Choose Essentials if you build brand shortlists for wholesale, or want SmartScout’s keyword tools.
  • Skip Essentials if you need to research sellers or subcategories. Those start on Business.

Business: sellers, subcategories and exports

Business, labelled “Most Popular”, adds seller-level and subcategory-level data: the Sellers Database, Seller Map, Seller Offers and Product Sellers; the subcategory tools for SmartScout’s 40,000+ subcategories, including Niche Finder, brand market share and Subcategory Keyword Detective; Brand Reports; Rank Maker Ad Creation, Keyword Map, Shared Search Terms, the Relevancy Quadrant and Relevant Products; the Traffic Graph, Promotions History and External Traffic; MCP access for AI tools; and Excel exports capped at 20,000 rows a month. Ad Spy and Seller Exports are available as add-ons through sales.

  • Choose Business if you research sellers for wholesale, agency or acquisition work, or need subcategory-level market sizing.
  • Skip Business if you are still validating your first products. The difference from Essentials is $140 a month on yearly billing.

Enterprise: historical data and the sales-led features

Enterprise is priced after a demo, and its card says it “Includes any of:” historical data, Seller Exports, Ad Spy, Share of Voice, Full Access MCP, and custom dashboards and alerts, so packages vary. The table ticks every row for Enterprise, including Share of Voice, Brand Historical Reports, Seller History and Subcategory Growth & TTM, but marks the API and Data Lake as add-ons even here.

Monthly or yearly billing?

On the current prices, yearly billing saves $240 a year on Basic, $240 on Essentials and $720 on Business compared with twelve months of monthly billing (our arithmetic; SmartScout shows no totals). In percentage terms the gap is widest on Basic, where the yearly rate is about 41% below the monthly one.

Monthly billing still has a place. SmartScout’s money-back guarantee lasts only seven days, so if you aren’t sure the tool fits, pay monthly, judge it on a real decision in the first week, and consider yearly billing once it has earned its place.

Coupons, refunds and the free tier

  • No free trial. Each self-serve plan carries a 7-day money-back guarantee. SmartScout’s terms limit it to new customers, once, within the first seven days of account creation. Our guide to the SmartScout free trial covers how to claim it.
  • 25% coupon codes. SmartScout’s own coupons page lists SMARTSCOUT25 for 25% off the first three months (checked 10 October 2026). Our partner code, REVENUEGEEKS25, took the same 25% off monthly billing when we last confirmed it at checkout on 1 August 2026, before the price rise. If a 25% code still applies, Basic’s $49 monthly price would be $36.75 for three months, still more than Basic’s $29 yearly rate. Details are on our SmartScout coupon code page.
  • No stacking. SmartScout’s terms say promotional offers may not be combined with other discounts unless stated otherwise, so a coupon and yearly billing don’t add up.
  • A free extension and a free brand report. The SmartScout Chrome extension gives 100 full-feature uses a month without a card, and SmartScout’s Brand Reports page offers a free brand report, also without a card. There is no free plan.

Which SmartScout plan is worth it?

SmartScout is easiest to justify when brand, seller or category research changes what you buy or where you sell. If you mainly want keyword research, listing work and ad management in one place, a broad suite will be better value. Our SmartScout review covers what the platform does well and where it falls short, plan by plan.

SmartScoutBasic$29$49
Helium 10Platinum$99$129
Jungle ScoutStarter$29$49

All three were checked on the vendors’ own pricing pages on 10 October 2026. The entry prices look alike, but they buy different things. Helium 10 Platinum is a broad suite with keyword research capped at 100 searches a month and no ad management; our Helium 10 pricing guide explains its tiers. Jungle Scout’s cheapest plan is a product-research plan for new private-label sellers; see Jungle Scout pricing, and our best Amazon product research tools roundup for how the research tools compare. SmartScout Basic is a product-level plan without brand search.
